Non-discrimination of Disabled Persons Act and Web Accessibility (Web Standard)
NEEDMALL supports the improvement of web accessibility according to the Non-discrimination of Disabled Persons Act which has been compulsorily applied since April 11. It proceeds the whole affairs ranging from the improvement of web accessibility to the administration procedures related to the certification of the quality mark.
Non-discrimination of Disabled Persons Act
Any actor prescribed in Article 3(4), (6), (7), (8)(a, the latter part) and (b), (11), (18) and (19), any actor related to the regulations in 3(12), and (14) through (16), any employer prescribed in Article 10(1) and any person interested in labor union in Article 10(2) (including any institution the above mentioned person belongs to, hereinafter referred to as "any Actor(s)") shall provide any necessary means including sign language and braille and etc, for the purpose for the disabled persons to access to and use electronic and non-electronic information produced and distributed by the relevant actor, equally to the non-disabled, provided that any natural person set forth in Article 3(8)(a, the latter part) and (b) shall not included in such actor(s).
Enforcement Ordinance of the Non-discrimination of Disabled Persons Act

14 National Standard Internet Web Contents Accessibility Guidelines
NEEDMALL is to comply strictly with the 14 Internet Web Contents Accessibility Guidelines (national standard).
Offer of alternative text
As for the non-text contents, every content which can be expressed into writing shall be indicated in a text mode that has the same meaning and function as the relevant content has.
 
Offer of video subtitle
As for the video media changing as time goes by, the alternative media to be synchronized with the relevant content should be provided.
 
Recognition regardless of color
Every information provided by contents should be constituted to be recognized even eliminating the color element.
 
Restriction of image map
Image map technique, if necessary, can be provided by using the image map clients have, or one the server has in which the alternative contents consisting of the text with the same function as the target.

The number of frames consisting of content should be minimized and when using frames, titles for each frame should be attached.

The programming elements such as script, applet or plug-in, should be used only within the extent that the contents of such programming elements can be delivered to users.
